Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 · 2 January — Arrive in Guwahati
Arrive in Guwahati and transfer to the hotel. Depending on arrival time and local conditions, visit Maa Kamakhya Temple and Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra. Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 2 · 3 January — Guwahati sightseeing
Enjoy a further day in and around Guwahati. Sightseeing can be adjusted to your interests, opening hours and the group’s pace. Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 3 · 4 January — Guwahati to Shillong
Drive to Shillong, with a stop at Umiam Lake for the included boating experience, subject to operation and weather. Check in and enjoy the rest of the day in Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 4 · 5 January — Shillong, Laitlum Canyon and Cherrapunjee
Travel towards Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra, with a visit to Laitlum Canyon where feasible. Enjoy the hill scenery and continue to your hotel in Cherrapunjee. Overnight in Cherrapunjee.
Day 5 · 6 January — Cherrapunjee sightseeing
Spend the day exploring Cherrapunjee’s waterfalls, viewpoints and other accessible attractions. The exact stops will depend on conditions and the time available. Overnight in Cherrapunjee.
Day 6 · 7 January — Cherrapunjee, Mawlynnong, Dawki and Shillong
Travel through Mawlynnong and Dawki. Enjoy the included Dawki River boating experience when operations and river conditions permit, then continue to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 7 · 8 January — Shillong to Kaziranga
Drive from Shillong to Kaziranga National Park. Check in and prepare for the planned wildlife activities. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 8 · 9 January — Kaziranga safari and transfer to Bomdila
Enjoy the planned elephant and jeep safari experiences, subject to confirmed slots and park operations. Afterward, begin the long onward journey towards Bomdila. Overnight in Bomdila. An early start will be required.
Day 9 · 10 January — Bomdila to Tawang
Continue through Arunachal Pradesh’s mountain scenery towards Tawang. Stops will be planned around road conditions and daylight. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 10 · 11 January — Tawang sightseeing and Bum La excursion
Explore Tawang and take the planned Bum La Pass excursion using a suitable local vehicle, subject to permits, weather, road access and local authority approval. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 11 · 12 January — Tawang to Dirang
Travel back towards Dirang, enjoying scenic stops where time and road conditions permit. Overnight in Dirang.
Day 12 · 13 January — Dirang to Shergaon
Continue to Shergaon for a relaxed final night in Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight in Shergaon.
Day 13 · 14 January — Shergaon to Guwahati and departure
After breakfast, travel towards Guwahati for your onward journey. This is a long road transfer; book your departure flight only after the final driving schedule has been confirmed.
