Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati to Kaziranga

Arrive at Guwahati Airport, meet your driver and begin the journey to Kaziranga National Park. Check in to your hotel and relax after the drive. Overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 2: Kaziranga safari and drive to Bhalukpong

Start early for a planned elephant or jeep safari at Kaziranga, subject to confirmed booking and park operations. After breakfast, drive towards Bhalukpong. Check in and stay overnight in Bhalukpong.

Day 3: Bhalukpong to Dirang

After breakfast, enjoy the scenic drive to Dirang. Depending on arrival time, visit Dirang Dzong and explore the surrounding area. Overnight in Dirang.

Day 4: Sangti Valley and onward to Tawang

Visit the Sangti Valley area before continuing towards Tawang. Along the route, plan stops at Sela Pass, Sela Lake and Nuranang Falls where road, weather and daylight conditions allow. Arrive in Tawang and check in for the night.

Day 5: Tawang sightseeing

Explore Tawang Monastery and other accessible local attractions. Depending on the time available, consider Taktsang Gompa, selected viewpoints and the Tawang War Memorial. Attend the light and sound show if it is operating on your travel date. Overnight in Tawang.

Day 6: Planned Bum La Pass excursion

Set out early for a planned excursion towards Bum La Pass, Sangetser Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake, and Pankang Teng Tso Lake. This high-altitude excursion requires special permission and is subject to weather, road conditions, local restrictions and a suitable local vehicle. If access is unavailable, the day can be adjusted to other accessible Tawang attractions. Overnight in Tawang.

Day 7: Tawang to Bomdila

Drive back towards Bomdila. If time permits after arrival, visit Bomdila Monastery and other local gompas. The number of stops will depend on road conditions and daylight. Overnight in Bomdila.

Day 8: Bomdila to Guwahati

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Guwahati for your drop-off. A stop at Chillipam Monastery or in the Shergaon area may be possible if the route and available time permit. This is a long travel day; confirm any onward flight timing before finalizing the itinerary.
